In 2019, New Papworth Hospital moved to a new state-of-the-art building on the Cambridge Biomedical Campus. FH Harvey secured the 40,000sqm New Papworth Hospital decorating project with Skanska. With an approximate cost of £140 million, the hospital provides seven operating theatres and five labs and 310 beds. Decoration works involved all walls, floors and ceilings, including specialist hygiene coatings to surgical areas.

We secured the 5 year contract to deliver redecoration works to the Royal London Hospital for Skanska Facilities.
The scope of works include all areas of the hospital whilst the hospital continues to operate live. Working closely with Skanska and the trust, our team have received excellent feedback from the client and Skanska management.
Royal London Hospital - Maintenance

We secured the five year annual maintenance contract with Barts and Royal back in May 2015. Our team of professional decorators have skillfully completed each year's maintenance program in a live hospital environment, including plant room floors, working efficiently to minimise disruption to NHS staff and patients.

Having decorated this building when it was built, this building is close to our hearts.
Particular attention was paid to planning all lifecycle works to minimise disruption to hospital patients and staff. Our works include reactive maintenance and specialist health centres, as well as the renowned Fisher House - home from home to military personnel and their families.

Great Ormond Street Hospital

We were awarded the QE contract in August 2007, following approval of our complex and detailed program of works. This huge £559m development is the first acute hospital to be built in Birmingham for over 70 years. It covers a floor area of approx 500,000m2 over 9 floors towering over 63 metres into the city sky. The building contains 30 theatres and enough rooms for 1,105 single beds spread over 92 distinct zones, including one floor dedicated to the armed services.

Cleveland Clinic London is one of our biggest projects in the healthcare sector to date. The eight-storey, 325,000- square-foot hospital building is home to state of the art medical facilities and technologies. It has 29 intensive care beds, making it the second largest private ICU in the UK. The hospital also has 184 patient beds, eight operating theatres, 21 day-case rooms for surgery and a 41-bed neurological rehabilitation ward.
FH Harvey carried out decoration works to all circulation areas, bedrooms and applied specialist hygienic coating to theatres, clinical areas and ensuites.

Birmingham Health Innovation Campus (BHIC), is set to become a world-leading centre in life sciences. The campus, a partnership between University of Birmingham and Bruntwood Scitech, offers cutting-edge facilities for medical technology, including high quality laboratories, offices and incubation spaces, set to transform research in healthcare data, genomics medicine and diagnostics. Working alongside SISK, the FH Harvey team carried out all decoration work, includings ceilings, soffits, walls and trims. We also applied resin flooring, using specialist sealer and paints supplied by Keim.
